Rebellion As Freedom

This is a troubling article

You know when you get fired from Bard for being too controversial, that is saying something. Extolling rebellion as freedom is a lie as old as Eden. The serpent hisses do your own thing, make your own rules, and you will be free. That Bard ended this lunacy shows that some good sense still yet prevails in its hallowed halls.

To the writer of the article, theĀ epitome of freedom has to be the modern-day inner cities of America because that is the closest analogue to what he speaks of as the historical ideal…or the Jerry Springer Show.
