About Me

Hi, I’m Eric Bierker Ph.D.

Here is me doing one of my favorite activities in the world. Reading! You can’t tell from this picture but I am extremely tall (6’8″). One of my go to jokes is that I am a lot shorter when seated.

Lest you think I am just a book geek. I also like to mountain bike:

I am a high school counselor at Northeastern Senior High School who has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Temple University.

I studied and specialize on college transition issues. I’ve been a school counselor for twenty years. Before that, I worked at Millersville University with college freshman.

So, I am an authoritative voice on college transition issues.

I have recently finished a book about the college transition called On The Edge: Transitioning Imaginatively to College. It was a three year writing and editing process and is available on Amazon/Kindle. Writing the book was more challenging than my Dissertation, yet also more fun.
